We started our day by driving to Stonehenge.
We really are there.
So is Carol.
Carol and Kathleen and Stonehenge.
It's much smaller than you think it is.
Lot of people but it's easy to make it look like you are alone.
Everything fit together.

There were ancient burial mounds nearby and this cow was standing on one.

This is the wall up the moat. It is made of rock and plaster almost as sharp as glass.

We moved on to Salisbury.
It's quite the Cathedral.
Kathleen and Carol wait while Mike and I take pics and our guide arranges lunch.

We saw the outside of the cathedral. Now lunch. Then the inside.
Lunch was at the New Inn. Real New. Founded in the 1700s.
Meanwhile back at the cathedral.
Inside was just as impressive.

Man, they bury a lot of people in their churches.
Kathleen has about had it. It's been a long day.

Walking back to our B&B we saw these girls on their veranda.
The next morning we were off to the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
Carol and Mike met this strange looking guy.
And we saw Henry the 8th's favorite ship that had just been raised.
Some fast facts.
The actual ship's bell. Everything in the museum was raised from the Mary Rose. Nothing reconstructed.
Now that's a big gun.
The pipes are pulling moisture from the Mary Rose. They will be removed in 5 years.
