Sailaway from NYC
Our wonderful Celebrity Business Development Manager, Marilee Smyle had arranged for us to enjoy sail-away from the heliport on the front of Summit with Steve, Jamie, Bob and Holly. It was pretty cool.
Cruise Critic Sail-Away
In what has become a Cruise Critic tradition, we joined the other members of our Cruise Critic Roll call both before and after our helipad adventure.
Boston–a warm day in one of America's premier cities
We rode the Hop-on, Hop-off bus and walked around downtown. Had a nice lunch with Steve and Jamie. Took a few pictures.
Portland, Maine—sweltering!
Not our best day. Way too hot and starting to get sick but I did take a few pics and here they are. Most of the photos were taken from the decks of Summit in the harbor.
Québec–one of our new favorite cities in North America
Can't tell you how much we enjoyed being in Québec. We got to spend two wonderful days there. Worth the entire trip. If you get the chance, go there.
Halifax, Nova Scotia
Our last port of call and we were feeling well enough to hit the road and take a tour with Andy Smith of Tattle Tours.
Last Sea Day Lunch
At the end of our last six cruises we have organized a lunch in the Main Dining Room with our Cruise Critic Group. On the previous five ships, the staff was wonderful in helping us set this up. On Summit, they turned us down cold. I approached the Concierge and the group coordinator and both declined to be involved...so we just showed up. 54 of us. Total disrespect by Celebrity ships management.
On the helipad at the front of Summit`

The few folks lucky enough to be invited to the helipad.
The crew took good care of us.

Our view as we moored at the foot of the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac
There was a London exhibition at the local museum so they covered the tower with Big Ben.
An early morning breakfast spot. It was in the mid-30s when I was taking these and I was wearing shorts. Eventually my camera stopped because it was so cold.
