Our first and second day in Charleston we had breakfast at this amazing restaurant that was just behind our AirBnB.
This is in the their courtyard.
They have awesome coffee
A beautiful tin roof in a very beautifully restored building.
Breakfast included some really good drinks. Wait, it was brunch. You can drink at brunch, can't you?
My breakfast on day one–eggs, pork belly, tomato jam, grits and a wonderful biscuit.
Kathleen's breakfast on day 1. Same except bacon instead of pork belly.
That biscuit with some superb blueberry vanilla jam. We brought a bottle of it home.
Good to the last bite.
The start of my walk.
Do you love this sign?
And this one.
So much great architecture.
More great (but somewhat dilapidated buildings)
Great sign.
Loved the name and the smell of this business.
Wonderful.
Love this building.
Every building has a plaque.`
I really wanted to eat here but we just could not fit it in.
Love this sign.
Gorgeous church. We learned that no building in Charleston can be higher than the highest church steeple. This is it.
Same church.

Great bar and we love the lights.
More bar, more lights.
My dinner. Short rib, sweet potatoes cooked two ways and wild mushrooms and onions. Awesome.
Kathleen's entrée. It was a special and we can't find it on their menu. But she does remember she loved it.
The Final Confession. One of the best cocktails we ever had. It had with rye whiskey, luxardo, ginger liquor and lime juice.
Dessert–cinnamon beignets with chocolate and vanilla sauce. Wonderful.
The sign on the wall says "No Immunity." The restaurant owner was on Top Chef and he turned down immunity.
After dinner we attended a close-up magic show called the Southern Charmer.
The show takes place in a very intimate setting called the Palmetto Parlor.
More Palmetto Palmer.
